ASTHMA

Welcome to www.nutritionhelp.com !

Did you know that asthma can often be helped by Nutritional Therapy? In my clinical practice, I have seen it happen time and time again - and now you can receive tailor-made advice online from www.nutritionhelp.com!

My name is Erica White. I’m Nutritional Director of Nutritionhelp, and also a Fellow of the Institute for Optimum Nutrition and an Honorary Fellow of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy. I have now retired from clinical practice, but we have set up an online Questionnaire and Report system which can give you all the advice you need, with an optional facility to have contact with one of our associate team of qualified Nutritionists.

I’m going to answer a few questions about asthma which I hope might be helpful to you.

Q. What sort of things can trigger an asthma attack?

Various environmental toxins (for example, smoke, carbon monoxide, traffic fumes, chemicals, pesticides, gas), or mucus-forming foods like dairy produce, or a hypersensitivity reaction to things like fur, dust, pollen or grass, or a reaction to unsuspected foods. It can also be brought on by exercise or stress.

Q. Has asthma become more common than it used to be?

Yes. Asthma in children is reported to have doubled since the 1970s. There are over three million asthmatics in the UK, and medical authorities expect that by the year 2020 as many as one person in two will have it.

Q. Why do you think that is?

Well, it’s commonly thought that the massive increase in environmental pollution is the main factor, but Nutritionists believe that if our immune systems were stronger, we would be much better equipped to cope with the effects of pollution. The same applies to an increased tendency to hayfever or hypersensitivity to chemical substances. People who react to these things would be much less likely to react if their immune systems were strengthened by following an appropriate nutritional programme.

Q. So why has the immunity of this generation seem to have become so much weaker than ever before?

Largely because the eating habits of this generation are worse than ever before, with an enormous increase in junk food, and an efficient immune system is dependent on a good nutritional status. But there are other factors. A lot of health problems are on the increase because of a massive rise in cases of yeast infection, or Candidiasis. This again is partly due to bad diet – especially an enormous intake of sugar by most people – but it’s also due to the growing use of antibiotics and the contraceptive pill, both of which encourage an overgrowth of Candida. Candida causes hypersensitivity reactions to many environmental substances by overloading the immune system and causing it to shoot off wildly in all directions. I have seen many people set free from asthma by following an anti-candida regime while also improving their nutritional status with appropriate Nutritional Therapy. As well as strengthening the immune system, this can help to improve the lining of the lungs and also reduce a tendency for muscles to contract.

Q. What would you say to someone who suffers from asthma and is looking for help to overcome it?

If you haven’t considered it before, you may well find that appropriate Nutritional Therapy could be very helpful – not only in tracing any culprit foods or substances but also in helping your body to overcome your reaction to them. And if you have an online report from www.nutritionhelp.com, it will tell you about various optional supplements which can help to relieve your symptoms while you are tackling the root cause. Of course, we can make no claims for you as an individual, but we can say that many people have seen significant improvement.

Maybe you would like to register for an online report. A detailed Questionnaire enables you to be provided with personalised advice based on my clinical experience over nearly twenty years.

For just £47 you will receive an extremely detailed report giving tailor-made nutritional advice to help you on your road to recovery. Read how the system works on www.nutritionhelp.com/quest_more.php.
